Composer Jerry Martin started music lessons at age 10 and played guitar and keyboards in various ensembles through high school and college. Mr. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition from California State University at Hayward California. His principle composition instructor was Robert Bassert. Mr. Martin began graduate studies and received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Center For Contemporary Music at Mills College in Oakland California.
